JUO 2018: Octopus User Day

The presentation of new Octopus ITSM features and the sharing of best practices among our customers were once again at the heart of the 5th annual Octopus user event.
A particularly successful edition that was once again highly appreciated by our customers, as they enthusiastically shared in this video:
Many new features and enhancements around Octopus
As every year, the agenda was packed with insightful content, and you can find all the presentations from the event on the Octopus Wiki:

Throughout the day, we showcased many new enhancements and developments, including the migration to Microsoft Azure Cloud, the new web portal, Octopus usage self-assessment, the custom fields library, integrations with external systems, and a refresher on the CMDB to help organizations effectively manage their IT inventory and assets…
Many of these improvements and new features were driven by feedback and requests from our customers. You can discover their testimonials in the video below, recorded during the event, where they share how Octopus supports their ITSM and CMMS needs and the benefits they are already seeing across their organizations:
Real-world experiences shared by Octopus customers
This year, we also had the opportunity to share concrete examples of how organizations are using Octopus across the enterprise through an Enterprise Service Management (ESM) approach. This included a presentation by Sergio Fernandes from CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal on the digital transformation of CIUSSS NIM’s support services using Octopus.
From the beginning, the Octopus team has worked closely with CISSS and CIUSSS organizations in Quebec, and later with hospitals and GHTs in France, to develop solutions that are perfectly adapted to the healthcare sector. These solutions help organizations successfully navigate consolidation projects while improving collaboration between all support teams around key processes.
This is one of the key benefits of Octopus ITSM: helping organizations evolve toward a shared services model by simplifying coordination, standardizing processes, and improving service delivery, as Sergio Fernandes from CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal explained.
We also took the opportunity to interview our healthcare customers about the benefits they have achieved with Octopus and how the solution helps them quickly deliver better service to their users:
To wrap up: a preview of Octopus version 5
One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the presentation of the first beta screens of Octopus 5, available in both web and mobile versions.
It was an opportunity to showcase concrete improvements to the solution’s user experience (UX) and new interface, including favorites management, navigation history, the ability to view all information from a record on a single screen without switching between tabs, and global search capabilities that return all relevant results (requests, CIs, users) in one place…
A lot to look forward to! More to come in 2019…
