Configuring the
application |
Please follow the steps detailed below to configure
the application:

Import
the list of users, computers and printers defined in your Windows domain |
|
|
An incident must
absolutely be linked to a specific user. To accelerate the process of user entry, you may import the list of users defined in
your Windows domain. |
|
|
|
|
|
Specify
a network directory to be used to store the attached files |
|
|
The files attached to an
incident or to a CI will be stored on your network. Please specify the network
directory you want to use to store the files. The form to do this can be accessed
via the menu Tools > Options. |
|
|
|
|
|
Provide access to the Octopus application for the members of your team |
|
|

Self-service Web application: Limit access to the users within your
organisation only |
|
|
The Self-service Web application enables your users
to submit and to perform the follow-through of their issues via a
user-friendly Web interface. Click here to
learn more. The Web application is accessible via the Internet.
In order to limit Octopuss access to your organisations users only, email-us the range of IP addresses authorised to
access the Web application. |
