My reminders

 

Context of usage: Reminders are useful for keeping track of relevant follow-up information pertaining to incidents and service requests. They can also be used for instance to remind a technician to call somebody when this person returns from vacation. A person may have explicitly mentioned not being available before a given date in order to take care of such or such issue. Reminders can serve to advise technicians to start working on a job at a specific date, to remind you to call a supplier who had promised to deliver a part within a specified delay, etc.

 

You may access your list of reminders (reminders to your attention as a technician) via the “My reminders” link located in the application’s left side menu.

 

 

Three reminder related actions are located in the left side menu:

 

-          Create a reminder

-          Modify reminder (applies to the selected reminder in orange)

-          Delete the reminder (applies to the selected reminder in orange)

 

You may also edit a reminder by double-clicking on it.

To open the incident associated to the reminder, click on the hyperlink (in the above example: incident number 1275).

 

The “Create a reminder” action enables you to: 

 

 

To create a reminder associated to an incident, select the incident from an incident view and click on the action “Set a reminder” located in the left side menu.

 

 

Your reminders are specific to your own Octopus user account.

Other Octopus users do not have access to your reminders.

 

When a reminder is due, the system will notify you via the notification form.

Double click on the notification to open the reminder form or the incident’s form if applicable.

 

 

When a reminder is associated to an incident, a “post-it” will be superimposed upon that incident’s form.

 

Rectangle: Delete the reminder.Rectangle: Edit the reminder.Rectangle: Close the “post-it” type form.
