List of incident notifications

 

 

The application communicates with the server every minute in order to get notifications.

 

User notifications

 

Incident creation

 

When an incident is created, an email is automatically sent to the user in order to confirm the creation of the incident.

Assignment of a technician to the incident

 

When an incident has been assigned to a technician, the user will be notified by email as follows:

 

 

Incident closure

 

When the incident has been marked as “closed”, an email is automatically sent to the user in order to confirm the incident’s closure.

Incident creation

 

All technicians are notified upon submittal of an incident by a user via the Self-service Web application or when a Octopus user creates an incident without assigning it a technician.

In short, you will only be notified about those incidents which are contained within the "New" incidents list.

 

The notification takes the form of a pop-up, similar to Microsoft Outlook. The pop-up remains displayed for a few seconds.

 

 

To open the incident, click on the pop-up.

 

 

Assignment of a technician to the incident

 

You will be notified when an incident is assigned to you.

 

The notification form will be displayed containing the notification in question.

If the application is closed, the notification will be preserved and displayed at the moment of your next session with the application.

 

 

To open the incident, double-click on the notification. The notification will then be automatically removed from the list.
