Octopus user rights
The « Permissions »
tab contains the rights for Octopus users.

CIs
related permissions
Check
the GRANTED box if the user can create a
CI, modify a CI or modify CI status.
Incident
related permissions
Check
the GRANTED box if the user can assign
an incident, close an incident, create an incident, modify activity log or modify an incident.
General
permissions
Check
the GRANTED box if the user can administrate
Octopus or override
ž User can administrate Octopus:
indicates that the user has administrative rights within the application, such
as:
o
Reference data management rights;
o
User password allocation rights;
o
User permission allocation rights;
o
o
Capacity to download a backup of
the database.

following example, the user who has submitted that incident takes a one week
leave. The support center’s manager, who would have the latter option enabled,
